Aprender haciendo: Proyectos Estudiantiles de Extensión
Muchos de los 38 proyectos estudiantiles de Extensión aprobados en 2009 ya comenzaron a funcionar, mientras que otros lo harán a partir de los próximos meses. Se trata de una apuesta por el aprendizaje disciplinario e interdisciplinario a través de prácticas de intervención diversas, donde los estudiantes tienen la oportunidad de abordar iniciativas e intereses propios.
Según Alicia Migliaro, docente de la Unidad de Proyectos del SCEAM, la línea de proyectos estudiantiles propone no sólo una contraparte en financiación, sino también en formación. “Los entendemos como proyectos primordialmente formativos. Está por un lado el componente de intervención, de lo que el equipo quiere hacer, y por otra parte está el componente formativo, de aprender haciendo, de aprender con otros.”
Es así que previamente a la presentación de los proyectos, el SCEAM realizó talleres sobre cómo formularlos, considerando dicha etapa como una parte más del aspecto formativo. Cada proyecto cuenta con un docente orientador, encargado de acompañar el desarrollo de la intervención y problematizar sus aspectos metodológicos. Además, los equipos cuentan con módulos de formación transversales y comunes a todos los proyectos.
En esa dirección es que el pasado 4 de diciembre, en la Facultad de Psicología, tuvo lugar el primer módulo, donde se abordó el 'qué' y el 'para qué' del trabajo en el territorio, planteando nociones básicas del trabajo en extensión desde una postura de la 'extensión crítica'. En dicha ocasión, unos 100 estudiantes de distintos proyectos se vieron las caras, intercambiaron experiencias e ideas y debatieron sobre el quehacer extensionista.
Las próximas instancias de formación se estrucutrarán en función de las necesidades que los orientadores visualicen en los grupos. Según Alicia, “si bien han habido anteriores experiencias de financiar iniciativas estudiantiles, es la primera vez que se hizo una convocatoria abierta a modo de llamado con tal énfasis en la formación. De hecho no lo consideramos como un llamado o concurso en sí mismo, porque la idea no fue promover la competencia entre proyectos sino recoger las experiencias y las iniciativas, pensar en la formación y complementariedad de las propuestas”.
